Pops of Purple Porch Re-Style

"I want something different, not too crazy & something you're able to see from the street."

That was the direction we had for our most recent porch restyle. We set out to give her exactly what she wanted without straying too far from her classic traditional tastes. Refined but still fun.

We could have gone for your typical mushroom mum look & a few large assorted pumpkins but you know us better than that. Instead we opted for a fresh color palette of purple, orange & white softened with fresh greenery. We were thrilled with the way it turned out!

We flanked the door with two large pots filled with a beautiful composition of purple and orange mums, cabbage, dusty miller & an assortment of draping succulents and filler. To add height, we decided on tall branches of curly willow.

The old step ladder is a family heirloom pulled from our client's garage. We love finding props in unexpected places & using them in unexpected ways.

We made a spark & arrow original wreath for the front door. How fun is the natural moss tucked around the monogram?! A fun detail to surprise guests as they walk up.

Instead of your typical scatter of uniform sized pumpkins we made an impact with quantity & variation. Several sizes & colors of pumpkins strategically placed and a smaller pot of mums topped off with a mini pumpkin carried the punches of color down the stairs.

A simple potted cabbage & more pumpkins balanced out the other side.

The cool breeze as we worked on this porch restyle was a nice reminder of all the fun projects we have coming up. We loved working with our client to bring her fall porch to life & hope she enjoys it as much as we do!

Happy fall!

Nature Inspired Birthday Party

Spark & arrow had an incredible time planning this adorable nature inspired birthday party for a sweet girl turning 2! Our client wanted a nature theme based off the Bible verse Isaiah 44:4 which says
"They will spring up among the grass like willows by flowing streams."

It just so happened this was also the verse her daughter was named after... Willow!

Their picturesque country farm provided the perfect backdrop for us with it's sprawling pastures. We even stopped to snip a few wildflowers on our way there!

Our custom chalkboard greeted guests as they arrived accompanied by a ribbon adorned butterfly catcher for the birthday girl. We kept the theme consistent with simple drop cloth tablecloths covered with burlap & brought in pops of color with bright yellows and greens.

Light & airy tissue swag garlands hung in the big tree in their front yard. Just enough, as to not distract from the pastures behind. Soup can & milk glass vases held a mix of flowers, wicker balls scattered about & a custom "2" topped off our table decor.

It wouldn't be a party without some food! This client decided to keep it simple with a few snacks & a couple beverages.

Even when going simple with the food & drink we still love to add a fun element.

Our client provided the cake & cupcakes which we spruced up with our handmade curly cupcake toppers & paper bunting for the cake.

But, the main attraction on the food table was this ice cream bar! Does it get any better than Bluebell, hot fudge, caramel & toppings?! To keep the ice cream frosty for guests we used a galvanized tub filled with ice.

Kids always love fun activities & getting their hands dirty. So, we figured why not let them take home a real life example of the Isaiah 44:4 Bible verse. Grass seed, some potting soil & cute custom pots and tags were all it took to grab their interest!

In a few days these party favors will sprout with tiny blades of grass!

Willow, we loved being a part of your special day! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
